The University of Macerata was established in 1290 and it is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Its main activities are focused on the humanities and social sciences. Students are offered a broad range of courses supported by state-of-the-art services, including undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, Master’s and Ph.D. programmes, specialisation schools and summer schools. Researchers of the Department of Education, Tourism and Cultural Heritage have a strong experience in participation to European funded projects in three main fields across a wide range of EC programmes: a) Educational Sciences, b) ICT and E-learning Technology, c) Marketing of Agri-food sector and rural development. From an academic perspectives, the expertise are well expressed by several publications in international refereed journals and by the high level of exchange programmes activated during past 5 years with leading universities at European level in these three fields.
